Cooking for a Cause is a unique and powerful way to bring corporate teams together for an interactive team building cooking workshop while giving back to the community. This component, which can be added to any event, involves guests working together to create delicious meals; one to be enjoyed by you and your guests during your event, and one to be donated to Orion Youth Center for Homeless Youth or Hope Place run by Seattle’s Union Gospel Mission that provides emergency food and shelter to 1500 men, women and children a day.
When you choose the Cooking for a Cause option, you will make one, two, or three approachable one-dish meals to be donated to one of the charities above – or the charity of your choice. Blue Ribbon will package, coordinate and deliver your donations with (or without) your company’s name attached.
Afterwards you’ll enjoy a meal that our chefs have catered for you, and in some cases – that you have partially prepared yourself (dependent upon specific menus selected and the time required to prepare donated dishes). One thing will be assured: at the end of your efforts you’ll be sitting down at our lakeside tables to relax and enjoy a delicious meal served to you by our chefs while you bask in your sense of accomplishment and good will.
With Blue Ribbon’s cooking for a cause option not only will you learn new culinary techniques and experience an effective team building event, you will also fill a genuine need by making a cherished donation to those less fortunate.
